About Prohibition Press

Prohibition Press Ltd. is an independent publisher that accepts submissions of original literary works for editorial consideration. Authors may submit individual works for inclusion in our anthologies and, where invited, full-length manuscripts for separate publication. Selected works may be published in digital, print-on-demand, or other formats. By submitting a Work through our website or another approved submission method, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service.

Eligibility

You must be at least thirteen (13) years old to submit a Work to Prohibition Press Ltd. If you are under eighteen (18) years of age, you must have the permission of a parent or legal guardian before submitting a Work. By submitting a Work, you represent that you meet these eligibility requirements.

Submission of Works

By submitting a Work to Prohibition Press Ltd., you represent and warrant that:You are the original creator of the Work or otherwise possess all rights necessary to submit it for publication consideration. Your Work does not infringe upon the copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other legal rights of any third party. The information you provide during the submission process is accurate and complete. Submission of a Work does not guarantee acceptance or publication.

License for Editorial Review

By submitting a Work, you grant Prohibition Press Ltd. a non-exclusive, limited license to review, evaluate, communicate regarding, and prepare your submission for possible publication. This license exists solely for the purpose of evaluating your submission and automatically terminates if your Work is declined, subject to the data retention practices described in our Privacy Policy. If your Work is accepted for publication, publication rights will be governed by a separate Publishing Agreement executed before commercial distribution.

Editorial Discretion

Prohibition Press Ltd. retains sole editorial discretion over all submissions. We may accept, decline, postpone, or remove any submission that:violates these Terms, infringes upon another person's intellectual property rights, contains unlawful, defamatory, fraudulent, or hateful content, is considered spam or otherwise abusive; ordoes not align with Prohibition Press Ltd.'s editorial standards, artistic vision, or publishing objectives. Submission of a Work does not create any obligation to publish it. All editorial decisions are final.

Editorial Changes

Prohibition Press Ltd. may make minor formatting, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, or typographical corrections to accepted Works for publication. No substantive changes affecting the meaning, style, tone, or artistic intent of a Work will be made without the Author's approval.

Publishing Agreement

If your Work is selected for publication, you will be provided with a separate Publishing Agreement governing publication rights, licensing, royalties or other compensation (if applicable), and other contributor-specific terms. No commercial publication of your Work will occur unless both parties agree to the applicable Publishing Agreement.

AI-Generated Content

Prohibition Press Ltd. values original human authorship. By submitting a Work, you represent that it is not wholly or substantially generated by artificial intelligence unless expressly permitted by Prohibition Press Ltd.Use of AI-assisted tools for purposes such as grammar correction, spelling, brainstorming, outlining, or research is permitted, provided that the primary authorship and creative expression remain your own. If AI-generated content has materially contributed to your Work, you must disclose that fact during submission. Failure to disclose material AI-generated content may result in rejection, removal from consideration, withdrawal of publication, or other appropriate action.

Intellectual Property

You retain ownership and copyright of your Work unless otherwise agreed in a separate written Publishing Agreement.Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of your intellectual property to Prohibition Press Ltd.

Prohibited Conduct

When submitting a Work, you agree not to submit content that:infringes upon another person's intellectual property rights, contains unlawful, defamatory, fraudulent, or deceptive material, promotes violence, terrorism, or illegal activity, constitutes spam or malicious submissions; orotherwise violates applicable law.Prohibition Press Ltd. reserves the right to reject or remove submissions that violate these standards.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Prohibition Press Ltd. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from or relating to your submission, participation in our publishing process, or use of our website.While we take reasonable measures to protect submitted materials, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service or prevent every technical failure, unauthorized access, or data loss.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Colorado, United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law principles.Before initiating formal legal proceedings, both parties agree to make a good-faith effort to resolve any dispute informally.If a dispute cannot be resolved through good-faith negotiations, it shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Denver, Colorado, in accordance with the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association, except where prohibited by applicable law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you waive any right to participate in a class action or jury trial arising from these Terms.

Changes to These Terms

Prohibition Press Ltd. may revise these Terms of Service from time to time.Material changes will be posted on our website with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued submission of Works after revised Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of those changes.
